I can’t stop looking at it. It feels like we’ve been better than our results all season and it’s nice to see the tide turn. I feel a little of the swagger from 2015, like we’re about to show the world we’re way better than they think.
This team has major 2015 vibes. They don’t quite feel like a real WS contender yet, but just get into the playoffs and who knows
Seems inevitable we will take over first place…..like it’s been written and Milwuakee and Cincy can’t do a thing about it….but it’s like mile 19 of a marathon. Long way to go.
Pay Bellinger CF money then kick him to a corner OF spit and platoon at 1B when they youth arrive. Pay that man whatever it takes to keep him
First time in 2 years I’m not watching every game with “we will be good next year” in mind. All I care about is right now. This team continues to surprise me. Hard to say what they’re capable of with this level of play and I’m chugging Kool Aid by the gallon right now.
It seems like we got something cooking in the Northside. Keep it simmering for a playoff run!! 6th series in a row. Go Cubs Go!
Man I have been telling all of my buddies ALL year this team has that it factor… if we can just make the playoffs we’ll be a team you do not want to see. One point fucking five, remember seeing that shit be like 7-8 not that long ago. God I fucking love this team! #FLYTHEW
Getting to be a division winner (or the top WC spot) is huge because the WC round of 3 is all home games for the 3 and 4 seeds. Currently the NL Central crown (and the #3 seed) is the easier route.
Am I stupid to think that the success of this season could be an advantage for the Cubs in the off-season to convince Ohtani to sign here? A guy can dream right?
