  1. He’s probably dealing with toe stuff still. He should just be down for the season. We aren’t making a serious run and we all know it.

  2. He’s injured BUT Cashgod and Boobie will wait until he is O for in the next 3 series before saying he is “playing with something”…then they will wait til after the season is over and decide in spring training surgery is needed so we dont see him until August next year….

    THE NEW YANKEE WAY !!!!!!!

  3. What was everyone expecting? Judge was 5-23 (.217) since returning with 1 HR. This is not including today.

  4. He said he’s gonna play through the pain.

Also god forbid anyone on this team have extended rehab assignments through the minors.

I love Judgey but some of this coddling as to not send someone through the minors is completely ridiculous…

If you’re a hitter- “who needs practice in real games? 2 sim games and you’re all set, we’re completely fine with you rehabbing and being well below your career averages for a few weeks” Stanton has done this dozens of times specifically.

if you’re a pitcher- “oh yeah you’re close enough we’ll take your 60 bullets and then next time we’ll go to 65 here in the majors, don’t worry about it”

  5. Judge has at least a .950 career OPS against 11 of the 14 AL Teams, but his career OPS vs the Astros is just .669, by far the lowest of any AL team. They do an excellent job of shutting him down both in the regular season and the postseason.

  6. Just shut him down and get him healthy for next year. If the only true fixes are surgery or pain tolerance, then he needs to opt for surgery. Its year fucking one of this contract, not gonna have the man fall off. Especially for a lost season we shouldnt be pushing to make the postseason

  7. Just like his ALCS performance…hes a nice player but hes not a winning player. Been saying it forever. He shrinks in his boots like a little girl when big bad Altuve and the Astros show up. Our last captain would never. Because he was a WINNER.

Oh his toe hurts, oh he was tired from chasing his home run “record”. Give me a break. Endless excuses excuses excuses. Be better. Be the example.

  8. Another guy we’ll play into the ground and later say that the season-ending surgery is related to the toe

  9. Oof, here come the downvotes.

He’s scared of them. They got in his head in 2017 and they stay there to this day rent free. They always punk him the fuck out and he can’t do shit. He can’t say shit. Who can? They’ve spent the last decade humiliating the Yankees at every turn, running around the field with their toothy ass fucking grins while whatever jerkoff announcer talks about “tHe nEw gEnErAtIoN”.

There is literally no cure for that. They fuck the Yankees up every time and we just get worse and find new ways to lose. Judge has seen every ugly brutal heartbreaking loss to them up close. I don’t blame him at all for being apprehensive going up against them. At this point though I don’t think there’s anything Judge can really do about it either. Just try to hide it when he plays them and rally the team to a W. God knows he is the only one who can actually do that with this crew.

ETA: Scared is too strong a word to use. He seems discouraged whenever they play Houston, with a few exceptions. Theyre in his head. Not knocking him or anything.

  10. One of the few times I don’t feel a panic. Since his return he’s been seeing every pitch, the timing is just a dick hair off. He’s hit the ball hard consistently and has walked a ton. Jumping right back into the bigs against a tough stretch of pitching is not exactly your ideal welcome back party. His highs and lows always even out to a consistent player that threatens every at bat, sucks he gets owned by the Astros but not many Yankees can say they look forward to a Houston series

  11. 2022 ALCS all over again 😖

In all seriousness, the guy is still injured, and as Boone said, the only reason he’s out there is the obscene urgency of this season

  12. It was the same thing with Matt Carpenter in the ALCS.

The sad but inevitable result of rushing one’s recovery.

  13. The Astro’s always own him. He has a career ops of .669 against them in the regular season. he has 47 strikeouts in 150 career plate appearances, They just keep marching power pitching righties out to the mound and he can’t handle it. Blaming the Toe when this has been going on since 2016 isn’t really fair.
