DJ’s answer to the question of whether he’s elite

I just saw this article from the Bergen Record on Yahoo that I absolutely loved so far. The reporter asked DJ if he was elite like Michael Kay as Eli years ago. His response was awesome. I know I’ve said he’s not a top tier QB but I’m excited to see him keep growing and getting better. This year he has weapons and we will see what he can do with his arm. Exciting year for me. Hopefully he keeps getting better and just explodes onto the scene

  2. When Eli Manning was asked if he was elite in 2011 he already was a pro bowl QB who had a Superbowl MVP, he had led the Giants to 4 playoff appearances already, and just had back to back 4k yards 27td+ seasons.

    Daniel Jones has zero pro bowls one playoff appearance going 1-1, has never had more than 3205 yards passing in a season, and nobody can argue Daniel Jones is an elite QB in the age of star QBs like Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Hurts, Herbert, etc.

    When Eli was asked it in 2011 it was actually a debate, its not actually a debate with Daniel Jones.

  4. I am rooting for DJ, but elite is as elite does. He got paid, and this is his year to show it.

  5. Wait so you’re telling me someone NOT on the list of “the 5 qb’s you’re allowed to think are good” is confident in themselves anyway?

    I’m flabbergasted. Shows a lot of nerve (and very poor taste) to want to play the games anyway. There’s a lot of beat writers and “guys on TV” who spend at least 4 seconds every day pulling stupid hot takes out of their ass, playing these football games where one team does not have one of the 5 approved QBS shows a blatant disregard for their hard work.

    Ask *literally anyone* if they think they’re good at their job on the record. They will all say yes. This isn’t news.
