Hamsah was Waived/Injured, which meant that he wasn’t directly cut, after he cleared Waivers he was allocated to IR. so he is still, on paper, a NY Jet.
Due to a thumb injury that Strev suffered in the HOF game he has also been added to the Waived/injured list, so could return to the squad, albeit on IR.
Someone should tell Zack Rosenblatt there’s still hope.
