  1. Pitching woes aside, this is the nature of the beast with a young team. Lots of exciting plays and big hits one day and then the coldest bats you’ve ever seen the next. we struck out 13 times against the nats, 13 times monday, 11 today…

You have to imagine that the lineup is also feeling the pressure of a washed bullpen. No lead ever feels safe. That’s a lot for a young team to worry about every game. I think they’re just exhausted.

  2. Need the Parks and Rec meme standing around the broken coffee pot with the Reds bullpen in the middle…

  3. We should be worried a little bit here. The upcoming west coast stretch will be the make or break for this team. They really needed that win today to give them momentum going into the Pirates. Cruz should not be leading off anymore.

  4. The “managers can’t win or lose games” crowd has been putting in a lot of overtime this past week.

    Major 2021 deja vù.

  5. I really hate that none of my sports teams (Reds, Colts, Pacers, IU) have a realistic shot at a championship anytime in the near future. Sports are so dumb sometimes. Take me back to the early 00’s when the Colts and Pacers were at least competing every year.

  6. It was fun while it lasted, but I don’t have a lot of hope left for the season. I hope we finish above .500.

  7. I’m not watching another game until Elly is not in the leadoff. This is getting fucking ridiculous

  8. I’d literally rather have tony Larussa right now. At least if he’s asleep in the dugout he can’t pull pitchers just to be pulling them

  9. Ashcraft pitched a heck of a game for the bullpen to blow it up. Day of rest. Try again Friday

  10. Let’s be real. This team is absolutely gassed right now. Haven’t had a day off since before the series in LA.

Still in the race, day off tomorrow, series against an average Bucs team.

I ain’t hear no bell yet.

  11. Team is young so this isn’t super surprising, hopefully they take this experience and use it for next year. Bell though is what he is at this point and will continue to hold the team back by using awful line ups and pulling pitchers for no reason at all.

  12. A much needed day off tomorrow but honestly, the hope train has turned into, “I hope we can at least be above .500 at seasons end”. This team is bad right now, and they’ve been bad against mediocre to bad teams as well. The bullpen has fallen off of a cliff cause they are poorly used and managed (David Bell) and the team hits like a bunch of rookies (they are) where they’re hot one moment and ice cold the next. Elly shouldn’t be anywhere near the top of the order with the way he strikes out. He kills any momentum the team might get. He’s bad right now, and I know y’all will shed a tear over that and get butthurt, but he’s honestly one of the worst at recognizing pitches I have ever seen. He shakes his head when the ump calls a strike right down the middle cause he doesn’t agree with the strike call……. I’d be shocked if we don’t finish above .500, but if the keep playing like this, a lottery is all we have to look forward to

  13. Stop platooning every chance you get.

Stop pitching Diaz in the 10th

    Stop batting Elly leadoff.

  14. I’ve never thought David Bell to be anymore than a patsy for the ownership. He has never been good. He has been only willing to manage mediocrities. They like him b cause he obeys orders. He’s not a bad person. He is human doing the best he can with what he has. Everyone makes mistakes.

  15. This sub would’ve had a meltdown if Bell let Gibault pitch to a lefty in the 8th
