  1. I really like his fit with Dallas. I don’t think he’s the missing piece or anything, but he makes them better and he’s exciting to watch. Good signing overall. Low risk. Medium to high upside.

I think the floor spacing with DJJJ out there becomes an issue if you are relying on Powell or Lively to be on the floor with him. Kleber and Grant work great, but the other 2 front-court guys wouldn’t provide that spacing needed.

The issue with a DJJ/Kleber or a DJJ/Grant is rebounding. None of them are good rebounders for the positions they play, which is a hard thing to overcome with your front-court players.

  3. I’m high on DJJ. He actually would be great in Portland now, but when he was here he was kind of slow to develop and we were trying to win. Excited to see him in Dallas.

  4. He’s a nice cutter, average corner 3pt shooter and a great defender other than being a good roll man.

Perfect fit for the Mavs if you ask me.

  5. He was already an elite roll threat years ago with Heat. Should be a great fit with Luka!

  6. Nothing the Mavs do matters. Soon Irving will be questioning the existence of Slovenia or proclaiming himself the real Slovenian and it will all blow up.
