I just learned that La Porta directly translates to “The Door” in Italian (Sam is Italian). This seems like a slam dunk of a nickname, “The Door is wide open!” “The Door cannot be locked up!” “The Door has slammed this game shut!” (I wrote all of these in Dan Miller’s voice). Thoughts on this? Has anyone thought or said this before?

I would say “The Door” is a terrible nickname for an OL or TE
Nah man, if anything, Slam LaPorta is cooler. Because that translates to Slam the Door.
I hate it.
