I know itās one play, but I havenāt heard anything good about the oline for the most part. The oline was ass last year and I donāt think it was addressed like it shouldāve been. I also wouldnāt be surprised if the guys bitching about EB where on the oline. Iād be laying into the oline if I was EB.
If the OLine doesnāt play lights out, Howell is going to have a hard time, even if he improves his game by miles. Itās not even easy for veteran to play behind a shitty lineā¦
Some insight Per Logan Paulsen
> āYeah, thatās a concern for me,ā Paulsen said. āAndrew Wylie is a good football player and is more of a guard in body type, but he is elevated by scheme ā and thatās one thing I keep in mind with this group. (Nick) Gates and the tackles have shown they can be good pros, itās up to the guard spots that are in flux. You need growth, and need this group to gel and mature ā but even though there are some unproven pieces, this scheme and philosophy Eric Bieniemy things does do a good job of insulating and elevating the line. The pieces arenāt elite, but Iāve been a part of lines that maybe werenāt the most talented but had a scheme that supported them, and you got a productive group as a whole.ā
Biggest knock on rom during his coaching tenure here is how he just let our oline room completely fall apart and has don’t nothing to revamp it. I remember when he cut Morgan Moses cause he was afraid of the roster growing old too quick then went out and signed fucking andrew not well and trai turner. Great leader of men, but a fuckin god awful coach.
The OL might be a problem, but I don’t have much issue with this play. It gets blocked up fairly well. Leno is beaten by his man, but he provided the QB enough time to get the ball out by forcing him outside.
