Marlins are a crazy franchise. Had a dump of a ballpark that they shared with the dolphins, moved to a new, hideous stadium with baby barf green walls and a flamboyant sculpture in center field. Then the guy who had the potential to become the best pitcher in franchise history died in a freak boat accident. Then Derek Jeter took over and traded their best offensive player to the Yankees. Jeter and company then rebranded the franchise again after being rebranded like 6 or 7 years earlier. He made the uniforms and the stadium look better, but ended up parting ways with the team because he didn’t agree with others on how the team should be run. And after all that, the Marlins are finally pretty mid this year.
