Malik seems like he really improved this offseason, i hope we see it translate into today’s game.
In my opinion its a good problem to have at backup. I would expect a 2nd year guy to beat out a rookie normally. But seeing how bad Malik was last year I’m pretty shocked.

Either way competition is what we need at that position anyway so I’m all good with this.

Hoping his training camp improvements translate good enough
It could help to remember that it’s the first preseason game. Last year Treylon Burks was behind NWI, Chig was behind Swaim.
And it’s not just the titans: Kenny Pickett was QB3 in his first preseason game.
I hope Malik and Levis look like Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady out there and we have the best problem to ever exist.
Malik is the definition of “shouldn’t have drafted him” as he got ONE YEAR to be a HOF QB or be labeled a bust.
It better come out down the road that he never watched game tape or something…
