Kenny Pickett was out there passing up on checkdowns to push the ball down the field. He was out there zipping the ball to receivers before cornerbacks had a chance to make a play on it. He was out there making tight window passes. Day and Night between YR1 and YR2.

  1. Rewatching the game, Kenny Pickett put every single ball on the money. Spread the ball around. George Pickens receiving tree has expanded past Go Routes. Diontae Johnson had 3 catches for 32 yards.

Mason Rudolph stayed in the pocket, took a big hit, and delivered a chipotle bowl right to Calvin Austin (Bucs cornerback had no chance at catching that man lmao) Steelers 7 man rotation on the DL is freakin insane. Darnell Washington pushing motherfuckers around on the edge. Steelers football.

  2. The guy’s not stupid. He sees the salary that even a mid-level guy like Kyler Murray is getting. He’s doing his homework and want that QB paycheck in a couple years

  3. I understand the excitement. I’m excited too and expect to see a more comfortable, confident and efficient Pickett this season.

One series isn’t a sample size to base anything off though.

  4. The QB battle last year was an ill-conceived farce that ultimately stymied Big Ken’s development early. Now that he is getting those first team reps and being treated like the big dick he is we can start to truly grow as a unit.

  5. Some exciting and some more expectation.

He did play well the last few games of last year though the stats no. wasn’t looked pretty. The 1st series in this pre-season was good. Just keep going.

  6. I’ll be a bit of a homer but I really think this team is the most talented we’ve had in years. And it’s built differently than prior teams that were too heavy (hopefully we can add Pickens as a bonafide star this year). Injuries happen. This team can have some bad injury luck and still have legitimate starters available who are currently backups. Sure a guy like Herbig probably isn’t as good as Seuomalo but if a guard gets hurt we are going to be playing a low end starter versus a weakness. And other teams will have guys hurt and playing backups in December.

We probably have 3-4 guys where we need to avoid injuries – Watt/Fitzpatrick/Pickett. I’m not even going to say Cam because Ogunjobi/Benton won’t be a strength but I think that’s good enough to not be a weakness. At Oline or skill position I think we could have two starters out and still have above the line groupings.

  7. I am just so much more excited for the start of the season after watching that first offensive possession
