  1. Positives from today’s baseball:

Gavin “Big Rig” Williams(yeah I like the nickname) continues showing pure MLB talent today. His final line ends up being 5IP, 5H, 1R, 0BB, and 10K on 87 pitches. The lone run came off of a solo home run, and I do agree with the Guards Twitter account, let’s get this man in ROY discussions.

Bats bats bats getting runs runs runs… well maybe not completely off of hits, but the offense gets runs nonetheless with 5 runs off of 13 hits, a walk, and 2 sac flys. 6 different starters get 2 hits, with Gimmy and Laureano hitting doubles and Kwan getting his second triple in as many days.

~~Bullpen gets some insurance runs as the team of DLS-Morgan-Stephan-Clase go a combined 3.2IP, 5H, 3R, 1BB, and 5K. While slightly concerning, with some run support they do hold the line today.~~ There are no bullpen comments today. Move on.

Akron baseball yesterday wins 5-3 with Juan Brito(Prospect #6) continuing his on base streak at 24 games, going 1/4 with a 2 run home run. The pitching duo of Will Dion(Prospect #27) and Jack Leftwich(Unranked) have lines of 5IP, 7H, 2R, 2BB, 4K, and 4IP, 2H, 1R, 1BB, 4K respectively for an excellent duo on the mound.

  2. Damn what a shitty fucking way to blow that fucking game.

This season is getting more and more out of hand by the day.

  3. Clase fucking sucks I don’t even care what anyone says. 9 blown saves in less than 5 months of baseball is fucking miserable

  4. I admire that we locked up the guys who made our pen look elite last year, but now we’ve got major work to do to retool this unit going forward… starting with figuring out what the hell is going on with Clase.

  5. I’m done. No more excitement or emotion. I don’t care if the Twins suck. We don’t deserve to make the playoffs.

  6. You know the weird part of this? The starting rotation is the unit that got ravaged by injuries, but somehow its still the only good part of this team.

  7. Clase is actually shit. Wish we would’ve traded him. I don’t value closers all that high honestly, and we could’ve got an insane return for him.

  8. Its getting really hard to care about this season anymore. Annoying that we are clearly close to being decent but just constantly finding the exact way to lose games. 6 games under .500 at this point is hard to see us climbing back from even if the Twins finish the season even.

  9. Clase HAS to be hurt or not right physically. How can you go from ‘22 form to this….nonsense.

    What the actual fuck Clase

  10. Welp, on the bright side the inevitable playoff imposion of the Rays will be more enjoyable now

  11. What a bunch of sorry fucking losers. Every game it’s a new person who steps up to personally fuck the team. They just have a special gene in them to seek out new and creative ways to lose.

Fuck this team. I’ll see you tomorrow.

  12. The minute ths leadoff runner got on I knew it was done. Clase can’t pitch with base runners. So Bibee has to go out there tomorrow thinking he has to throw 8 or 9.

  13. I’ve watched Cleveland baseball since the mid 1980s… and something about this season just has been sucking the life out of me like no other.

This isn’t a fire Tito post, or anything like that. It just feels like we can never put everything together. Gavin is the real deal, and we keep the pitching factory alive but our bullpen just is killing us when we do get good starts, and then is great when it doesn’t matter. Bullpens by nature are unpredictable but it’s killing me this year.

  14. Starting pitching is Cy Young caliber, Score 1 run.

Score 7 runs, Pitching gets bombed.

Good offense and starting pitching, Bullpen implodes.

    Bullpen fools hitters, defense collapses.

Story of the season. Rarely can put a complete game together.

  15. I still can’t believe that dude said Laureano sucks and he’d rather have “anybody else” on the roster.

Rough game. Lots of frustrated comments.

I’m gonna go watch Plesac and Columbus.

  16. We would be winning the division by like 5 games if Clase wouldn’t have blown like 50 saves this year.

  17. How many fucking games have we been up multiple runs going into the 7th inning and lost this year?

  18. “We have the best bullpen in the league”, he mumbled repeatedly as he rocked back-and-forth in his chair. In the next padded room over, a faint whisper could be heard: “only the Yankees have a better bullpen ERA”

  19. Update: Five one-run games in a row. There has been 43 games this season that have been decided by one-run with 118 games played so far. 21 Wins. 22 Losses. 36.44% of the season. The starting pitching seems to have a bright future so I’m pretty happy with that otherwise it’s been a brutal and weird season.

  20. Are the rookie starters on innings limits? I know Gavin Williams went 7 in his prior start, but I wonder if the starters should be stretched out more, so that MAYBE the bullpen can get some sort of rest? I think the bullpen sucks because they’re overworked.
