Please stop squishing the game to show these lounge shots, or worse cutting away altogether. Utilize Picture in Picture pleas and thank you!

  1. Almost unwatchable in current form. As a newer fan it’s like trying to watch the game while someone is blaring an unrelated podcast on a laptop next to me and constantly putting the screen in front of my face.

I know many people know and have affection for the stories they’re telling but I don’t.

  2. yeah the side by side needed to be only in certain moments, like right before commercial break. picture in picture would have been the way 99.9% of the time.

  3. I can’t stand the during the game bull. I dont care what food the stadium has, I don’t care that people are drinking yeungling, and I don’t care what guests you have in the booth. I want to watch the actual friggen game.
I get even more frustrated when they are aren’t even talking about the game when something important happens.

  4. The alumni are making this game way more tolerable to watch. They definitely didn’t need the lounge music when guys were talking.

  5. It’s alumni weekend man just relax and let the old timers get some TV time and tell their war stories lol. It’s really not that big a deal.

  6. Eh it’s annoying, but as long as they keep Schilling out of the booth, it’s fine. It’s one day a year.

  7. Am I one of the few people in this sub who actually enjoys the banter between TMac and Kruk every game? My biggest issue with putting any game on is that when it’s just stats talk, I get bored of it and either mute or just turn it off. And if I just want to listen to play by play but not watch, I’ll turn on the radio. It’s one reason why Amaro being on commentary with road games is slow for me. He’s engaged and knowledgeable since he was a GM, but I can’t listen to it all the time.

  8. Definitely agree the camera cuts are really dumb and unnecessary. Totally disagree with all the comments about how the booth should just stick to talking about the game.

Watching daily baseball broadcasts for years there is no way that I want them to only talk about the game that would become incredibly monotonous. The atmosphere is a crucial part of broadcasting it makes it more like actually sitting in the stands with your friends

  9. I had to mute all the commentary. It was just overwhelming the game and I couldn’t do it. I synced the audio from MLB app to the game being shown on NBC, because ya know – blackouts on the mlb app. Legit cannot watch any phillies games even if they’re home and I’m in the Lehigh Valley.

  10. The Phillies TV production crew are pretty lousy. Not the people actually working the cameras, but the producer / director who decide the shots, cutaways, etc. and most definitely the folks who control the audio-to-video sync — they delay the video to get the broadcaster’s audio to see more “on the play”, but they do it too much and you hear T-Mac making a call that you haven’t actually seen yet.

(And no, it’s not just my particular TV/cable box. This happens every time I watch a Phillies game, on any device, from any source — Xfinity, streaming, blackmarket streams, etc — that is using the NBCSports feed.)

    It’s fucking **maddening**.
