There were two likely options for this game. One was a pitcher’s duel where Dane would show up and keep the team in the game. The other was that Dane would fumble and the Giants would win with relative ease. We got the former. Can’t even be mad, Logan Webb is that good sometimes and was due for a gem. At least he didn’t get the win or shutout, which is something I guess. The Rangers did their job this week, are 10-2 this month and will hopefully take care of the Halos starting tomorrow.

Holy fuck it hurts to end it like that. Going to try and focus on the positives and be happy with the fight the boys showed and the fact that Dane didn’t get the L after that performance but man does it suck to not steal one there

Even if it was a loss, that was a great game. Pitcher’s duel. Weirdness in the ninth.
The Giants are a good team, and Webb was phenomenal. Winning 2 of 3 in their ballpark is nothing to be ashamed of.

The definitely hurts. But in all honesty, we didn’t deserve to win that game. Offense was ice cold all day and didn’t capitalize, only to score on a balk. At least we won the series, won the road trip, and go back home to face a struggling Angels team. And Houston lost so no ground was lost today

I don’t really care who gets the 8th or the 9th because for the Rangers to succeed both Chapman and Smith have to be good, and I don’t think either of them cares which inning they get.
BUT, to everyone clamoring about swapping them, the double Chapman gave up in the 9th went further than Bailey’s HR, and would have been gone in 20/30 ballparks.
That was such a stupid pitch placement with 1 ball and 1 strike with two outs. You’re up on him, your curveball is working, just throw another curveball off the plate or at the very least get him to try to chase a fastball high outside. Either way, stupid time to go anywhere inside with a fastball.
And the astros lost as well so that’s great
