The guy hit .296 his last year at South Alabama, I still can’t understand the thought process that had the Pirates draft him in the top 10. Baffled me then, baffles me now.

I noticed Neil Huntington liked to go after college bats that seemed to have a great FINAL year. I watched that draft and it reminded me of us taking Will Craig, except Swaggerty’s speed was the defining factor for him.
I remember watching the cards take Nolan Gorman about 10 picks later
