I keep forgetting we have control through 2025. There’s no rush on this one. We shouldn’t be in extension talks with *anybody* until Ohtani is absolutely, 100%, off the table, especially if we’ve got more than two whole years remaining on the current deal.
If we win the WS this year and Crane is willing to pay, we’re gonna win the next 3 after that, and everybody’s extensions get way, way easier.
I don’t care how much, we need to sign him for whatever he wants!
