  1. At home after off day, against a shit team and they come and lay a fat turd. Terrible performance all around

  2. Holy fuck that was frustrating.

At least Miami and cincy lost. This is 1 of 4 the cubs can afford to lose during this 12 game stretch imo

  3. Gotta see more effort from the cubs against a Sox team that has nothing to play for

  4. Some of y’all really seem like you get satisfaction when we play bad/want to be right about us being bad

It’s weird, this team is exactly where preseason projections had them and you’re still bitching

  5. Still need to go 8-4 in this stretch so tomorrow is a must win kinda

Some bad batting late but not to worry

  6. Damn it that sucked. Its one team when the other team gets the best of you but come on that was just sad

  7. White Sox fans have to be thrilled about getting swept by Milwaukee and then at least splitting this two game set.

Yes, I am pissed, holy BABIP.

  8. It’s going to be tough to sneak into a postseason spot playing like this. Hopefully our boys clean it up tomorrow.

  9. Belli? Swanson? Morel? Gomes? Anyone awake? Better be tomorrow! Can’t afford to lose

  10. Well, that was a baseball game.

Disappointed, but undeterred! We’ll get em tomorrow!

    Thoughts:
    – I desperately want Morel to be good, but he just isn’t. Seems like he’s another Wisdom at this point. Strike out / homer, 80/20.
    – Think Belli might be cooling off, which means the other guys will need to actually start contributing.
    – The umpiring I have witnessed lately has been nothing short of a hate crime against this team.
    – Bad start, but Karl settled in well and the bullpen did their job. Now the bats have to do theirs. Seems like we’re only capable of having one or the other at any given time.
    – These games lately have just felt like a lot of bad luck. Unlucky hard hits right at defensive players, bad umping, opposing team getting all these lucky bloops, etc. When is our turn? Do I need to sacrifice a goat? Because I will. (Mostly kidding.)

  11. Just one of those games where they didn’t play terrible, but not good enough to win. Hendricks settled in fine after a rough few innings. Seiya with some good defense and a home run. Merryweather and Alzolay weren’t perfect, but you can’t be too mad at the bullpen with how great they’ve been of late. Offense could have stepped it up a little more, but overall it just didn’t happen tonight.

  12. Terrible game on both sides, thanks to the Umps.

Let’s annihilate these fuckers tomorrow Cubs.

    Go Cubs Go

  13. This loss sucks, but it’s not the end of the world. They have a stretch of 12 games against “easy” opponents but that doesn’t mean they were going to win all of them. The wildcard is still wide open. 4.5 back of Milwaukee (if they win) isn’t insurmountable, especially with 6 games against them. Just get them tomorrow.

  14. I dared to ask (on the baseball sub) if Robert was pulling a trigger, like shooting a gun in the air while rounding first base celebrating his homerun. When Sox fans confirmed, I said I wasn’t condemning him, and that I simply wished that wasn’t his celebration (considering US gun violence). They downvoted me to hell. Lol. People are so strange.

    Weird game, weird Chicago fans.

edit: holy shit – they followed me in here, still downvoting! LOL.
