  1. Okay hear me out guys, yes that sucked, but the Yankees are under .500 so is today really that bad?

  2. Can Kirk not run out the broken bat grounder? What is he saving himself for, an offday? Come one

  3. We always play with such a small a margin for error. If our defense and pitching isnt on point, we most likely lose. Our offense really makes me not confident for the playoffs when we will face better pitching. Couldnt even get a runner on since the 6th. And we dont even have good ABs

  4. Complete limp dick effort after the Espi/Vladdy debacle. Entire team just rolled over and died.

  5. Sad to say because he played so well for 2/3 of the season last year, but Espi has too many errors for a part-time player who’s supposed to be a good defender.

Ugly night for our defence, and only the middle of the order really did anything tonight. Nothing from the top and bottom, which is odd.

We gotta turn things around to fend off Seattle.

  6. The real villain of this game is the barbell that smashed Matt Chapman’s middle finger

  7. Can Espinal not play short so we don’t play two absolutely two useless players at the bottom of the lineup?

  8. I’m sorry to say this but I can’t wait for Bo and Chapman to come back so we don’t have to see DeJong on offense, and Espinal be anywhere in the lineup. Espinal can’t hit or play defense, he’s such a liability. Are there still Espinal fans in this sub? If so, why?

  9. Seeing the Epsi play for the first time, I think Vlad should have played that differently. He should have played the hope. Looked to try to reach it and couldn’t make it, and the glove got in a bad spot to try and scoop

  10. Say what you will about Chappy’s bat, but his D is such a difference maker and games like tonight show why he won’t be easily replaced in the off season.

  11. Look idk if this is some sort of placebo or what but Kevin hasn’t looked right since that injury around the all-star break, esp in his last few starts. Feel like he’s been less efficient in the earlier innings. Obvs today was a special case of assness but idk. Someone who knows ball please tell me I’m not losing my mind here (or better yet, tell me I am and have nothing to worry about)

  12. How many more ground balls until we fire the hitting coach? Ohtani has 42 HRs Vladdy doesn’t even have 20….team has no offensive character….Dejong more like DeWrong. Defence looks amazing kudos to them but it’s hard watching us hit.

  13. Biggio and Varsho are looking better at least. Other than that, rough game.

I really hope the last 2 games showed how much defense matters. We don’t win when we do last night if the Phillies had a decent left fielder, and defense put us behind tonight

At least the Royals are putting in work for us. 4-4 against the Mariners.

  14. Rough pitching and defense today, tough loss at this point of this wild card race but it is what it is. Really missing Bichette right now.

  15. blech

that error completely derailed them, and you could see it.

I hope they go on a run soon, but… *sigh*

  16. tbh at 4-2 i was so convinced we won😭 like after all our pitching successes recently I was like we are good but then so many other things happened

  17. DeJong needs to spend a lot of time with the hitting coach. I was at the game and he looked absolutely lost at the plate

  18. I will not panic if the Mariners pass us in the standings because their soft part of the schedule is a couple weeks before ours. I will not panic if the Mariners pass us in the standings because their soft part of the schedule is a couple weeks before ours. I will not panic if the Mariners pass us in the standings because their soft part of the schedule is a couple weeks before ours. I will not pa

  19. Seemed like the game was gonna be a good back and forth effort until the Espinal error. Immediately killed the game for the Jays and they just gave up. Awful.

    Espinal has been brutal.

  20. I don’t understand how you don’t change up your pitching style after they get so many hits off your slider. Just keep throwing it I guess.

  21. Missed the game. This is the most baseball the Jays have been (playing real honest baseball) but Espi getting errors makes me love Chapman more.

  22. Unless someone like Kirk, Espinal or Varsho … hell even Biggio becomes a respectable hitter next year we’re in trouble. Beyond Bo, Vlad, and Springer there’s nothing here offensively… considering Chappy and Whit may be gone…
