Who would you take?

  1. RIP Connor McGovern

    hello NICK MANGOLD

this didn’t even require much deliberation. i’m happy enough with every other position that upgrading from our current best guy to bring back the historical best isn’t all that big a jump in my book.

  2. Gotta be Brick as much as I love Mangold or Mawae.

Even better can we just copy and paste the entire 2009 OL to 2023.

  3. this doesn’t necessarily have to be a retired Jet. You can literally pick any player from any team. I’d have to go with Joe Thomas/Orlando Pace for O-line

But if we have to pick ex-jets I’d say Ed Reed. Would be amazing to have him at safety with the NFL’s #1 cornerback unit.

  4. We can go the O-Line route because that’s obvious (D’Brick/Mangold or Mawae)

    How about Jonathan Vilma?

Low-key think Kerry Rhodes would also feast in this D.

  5. My vote is Brick but Mangold is a close second. Im just glad nobody’s saying Namath like we would unanimously agree on any other year

  6. Brick or Mangold. Maybe Revis – I think we forget how significantly a game changes when their WR1 is completely locked down. Sauce has potential to be great but for 1/2 years of rodgers – Revis could be the difference.

  7. I think most of you don’t understand the question. It’s any player from any team. Why would you pick Brick? He’s not even the best tackle we’ve ever had

  8. If it has to be our own team, it’s Brick. No other answer makes sense. And I love Ed Reed.

  9. If it’s former Jet, it’s Brick. Solves LT issue immediately. If it’s any retired football player in their prime… that opens things up a bit.. prime Peyton or Brady maybe?

  10. Before you answer this, ask yourself:
If Rodgers had played his entire career for the Jets would he be the best player in Jets history?

The answer is obvious, therefore, the question is pointless. Because, simply put, no perceived roster weakness can overcome a 4 time MVP’s upgrade over himself at his perceived peak.

The only counter is that he only hit his peak in 2020 and last year was just a down year. Which there is statistical support for.

In that case, the vote is going to be strictly on my own perceived value over replacement and going to have to go with LaDanian Tomlinson. His MVP season was ridiculous.

The argument for Brick has several flaws:

    1) Winston Hill is a hall of Famer.

    2) Mawae is a Hall of Famer.

    3) Faneca is a Hall of Famer.

As such, any of those o-linemen would be a bigger upgrade, particularly Hill, who is, according to the pro football Hall of Fame, the best offensive tackle in Jets history.

Holy shit, I dug deeper, why does this sub worship D’Brick? He was above average but he was light in the ass and wasn’t perfect. Powell and especially Hill were both way better.

    Its not close.

  11. There is only one answer. A QB forced to lead before his time. An inside ng hero. Jets legend… Brooks Bollinger.
