I think Enagbare is going to be a force this year and we desperately need him to be. Preston Smith is turning 31 in a few months. Gary is still recovering from his ACL tear and we know it often takes another full year for players to be back to full speed. LVN does not look ready for primetime at all. If we are going to have any sort of consistent presence on the edge, Enagbare is going to have to be a BIG part of it.
I think he will breakout too. Last year when he got thrust into basically starting he looked great at the beginning. The other teams studied his tendencies though and Kingsley was basically average the rest of the way starting.
He had the athleticism to play the position, he just had not learned all the techniques yet to have a complete game. He’s very responsible as far as not getting out of position too. He’s going to show that he’s a starting edge rusher in this league.
Hope so, but hopefully it’s mostly as a rotational guy because Preston and Gary are effective and good.
It will need to be for his sake and ours.
Enagbare started breaking out last year as a rookie. I think he’s only going to keep getting better. It’s great to see. Can never have too much edge depth and it’ll be needed while Gary gets back in the swing of things and LVN continues to develop
Enagbare will be the 2nd year player that makes the jump, and just in time as far as the Packers are concerned. Everybody is writing off LNV and I think that’s a mistake. He has the ability to line up as an inside rusher, play the role of a spotter against mobile QB’s like Justin Fields, he will have a role to play in this defense (assuming Joe Barry has half a brain and there is little proof of that)
Hopefully he can. Has looked good so far. I’m a huge fan of Karl Brooks as well.
I already think he is a steal due to where he fell to and got drafted. It was mostly because of his combine stats but his play shows a much better athlete. I have high hopes for him. Eventually they will have a 3 headed monster at the position hopefully but being able to afford all 3 is a different story (assuming LVN works out and Preston is gone)
