These are men out there, I don’t see how someone could bully them. Now kap being a bit of an ego freak, maybe. But who knows. I’m just glad they keep it all internal and don’t run to the media to air their shit out.
Ah yes Zack Littell and Sam Coonrod two players that totally never deserved any sort of criticism at all and definitely never got on anyone’s nerves during their time with the Giants.

I still remember when Kapler blew off Jon Miller during an in game interview. It was a spring training game during his first season. Just came off as really childish and arrogant. Bully is going a little far.

Littell tried to show up Kap on the mound, because he was pissy about his own performance. His KNBR interview the other day revealed he thought highly of himself as a starter and he probably didn’t like his role. That’s an organizational decision.
Coonrod didn’t want to kneel for racial equality and attributed that to his Christian religion.
Will let everyone else decide if that’s the best application of religion…

Kapler comes off like an intense guy who I could see being disinterested in bullshit, and by bullshit maaaaybe at times that includes anything that doesn’t fit Kapler’s life approach. Players have made him sound exhausting with the positivity, and like it’s hard to get his attention from working out or drinking whiskey, but they’re also joking with those comments.
Kapler can influence the culture but you don’t want your manager to be setting the culture. That’s an organizational and player leadership thing in partnership.
Krueger is a full-on hot take merchant with a obvious bias against Kapler.

It’s pretty incredible how overwhelmingly positive this sub is about Kapler. Any negative sentiment gets downvoted into oblivion. I understand being a loyal fan, but since when does that mean unconditional support for the manager (who is relatively unproven)?
Can’t say that I am a Kapler fan (hated the decision to hire him), but he’s done a good job this year, given the “talent” he’s working with. As for him being a “bully” to anyone, this seems to be the complete opposite of what he exudes. Dude is calm, collected, cerebral and very much in control.
Even in the Littel situation, we walked Zack down the stairs and then (we can assume) confronted him….no public displays.
