LGA approach locations are named after Mets players

TIL that the approach locations for LGA are named for Mets players / Shea Stadium. I’m a flight sim nerd and a Mets fan, but I never expected them to connect.
This is fairly common. Lots of cities have fixes named after sports and sports figures. Uecker arrival in MKE, Trybe in CLE, GIBBZ into IAD, a few fixes around MSP like MAUER, BWI has the Bunts.
Another interesting thing is that Citi Field is on the Expressway Visual 31 plate into LGA as well.
