I just noticed that we have a very top heavy lineup

Lineups generally have the better hitters at the top of the order for them to get more plate appearances
Missing Alvarez and brantley
Normally yordan would be playing, and Peña’s been hitting better lately
Yeah, if you go look on BRef too the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th best bats (based on OPS+) don’t even have 100 games either through injury or manager choice…. NOT IDEAL!
6/9 most started positional players are negative OPS. If you sub in the “right” guys we still have to float 2-3 spots and (IMO) most notably, to your point, we don’t have a + OPS bench bat. I don’t think our bats have looked this depleted since probably ‘18 maaaaaaaybe ‘16?
Minus Maldy’s OPS I would guess most MLB lineups look like this.
