  1. Can you imagine playing Motter over Prieto or Saggese, who have both proven they deserve a shot in the majors? There’s a perfect storm of being out of the playoff race, Donovan being injured, and Gorman needing more rest for his back; second base is wide open.

    If all goes according to plan in 2024, Prieto and Saggese will never have a pressure-free chance to get some MLB at-bats again. Why not utilize the current situation?
