Anyone else notice Allen wearing long sleeves in the summer?

  1. He doesn’t feel like getting tested for steroids every week when the league notices his muscles

  2. He still wearing the arm brace or compression sleeve? He always had a long sleeve on after the injury last year to hide it.

  3. I wondered about this too. Maybe he likes to wear the same thing as much as possible, and since a good number of our games are cold, he just wears sleeves all the time now.

  4. You practice how you play.

His O-line is going to have him on the carpet a lot and he doesn’t want those carpet burns.

  5. Allen is superstitious and a creature of habit. I think he started with the sleeves shortly after his UCL injury last year; he probably wanted to cover up his elbow brace/sleeve. He played decently up until the Bengals playoff debacle, so I think he’s probably just riding out the look. Previously, he wore those sleeves that went halfway down his beautiful, beautiful biceps.

Unless he still has some residual elbow issues and is still covering up a brace or compression sleeve. Hope not tho.

  6. Going back to his roots. Anyone who has been in the Central Valley in the summer knows you need long sleeves to carry around that irrigation pipe

  7. He tries not to show too much skin anymore. Distracts everyone from football 🥵

  8. I always wear long sleeves when I play flag football. Just a thin layer under my jersey. It’s because we play on artificial turf and that shit hurts if you slide on it. Maybe it’s the same reasoning for Josh?

  9. I was at the game yesterday and it wasn’t hot. (But it wasn’t cold either). Wind was swirling a bit and I actually felt a little chill in the stands a few times.

  10. Looking too much into it. Maybe it’s for a little extra protection on his arms. I bet even though it’s just a long sleeve it offers a little protection from players hands/helmets etc
