  1. I realize that half the sub is sick of this story, so if you’re in that group please forgive me. Anyway, per the article:

    >The heavily redacted report noted that one victim “sustained a gunshot wound to the right upper thigh with an exit wound to the lower thigh and a gunshot wound to the right upper calve (sic) where the bullet traveled to down to the shin area with the bullet remaining lodged in the victim’s lower leg.” The other victim, the report noted, “suffered a graze wound to the lower abdomen and refused EMS services on scene.”

A few things about this jumped out at me:

First, if the description of the injury is accurate, then that pretty much rules out it being a hoax.

Second, this is now the third different report of where a bullet was found (on the ground under the bleachers, inside a woman’s hoodie, and now inside a woman’s calf). Does this mean there really were three bullets, or were one or more of these claims bogus?

Lastly, I’m pretty sure a gunshot passing downward through the thigh and then into the calf is consistent with an accidental discharge of a gun inside a pocket or tucked into a waistband. I’m no ballistics expert and I imagine there are other ways that it could happen, but still…
