PGT: Tampa Bay Rays (81-52) manhandle the Miami Marlins (66-66)!! [F: 11-2]

I legitimately think the Rays might be a good baseball team.
The lefties being back and barreling is what the bois needed to balance out the lineup. The Rays struggled so much in the middle of the year against ground ball sinkerballers, who Alcantara is the archetype of—and we saw how well he pitched his first game against the Rays. With Nuke, Lowe (pronounced Lowe), Lowe (pronounced Lowe) able to get launch from the left side and Siri bombing from the right side, they have a balanced attack against the ground ball, pitch to contact guys.
Randy hit a bomb (and almost 2 bombs) in the place the world fell in love with him. Like basically every other Ray this season, he now has a career high in home runs.
Siri almost hit a ball through the wall.
Josh Lowe with a dinger on his super quick, short swing
Paredes found left field again! Don’t look now (or do) but the thing no one is talking about is that Paredes is the number 1 offensive 3B in all of baseball. That’s not subjective, btw, he leads in wOBA, wRC+, OWAR, 3rd in SLG, 2nd in OBP, and 1st in OPS and OPS+
Civil got BABIPed to pieces but stayed strong, only giving up one run in the first and then a homer on a curve below the zone that had no business even being hit.
I enjoyed that telecast.
And with that the Rays lost only ONE series in the month of August.
Anyways, great offense from the Rays especially getting one over on Alcántara though keeping him for 110 pitches didn’t help.
Hoping for a mild hurricane and that the power doesn’t cut off, every one stay safe and I’ll see y’all tomorrow night for game 2.

Just one more game proving Paredes needs more love from the MLB, he is the best 3B in the AL and is in the cusp of 100 RBIs, dude is a beast.
Great win, just wished the white Sox wouldn’t lay over to the damn O’s so easily.
The Os have just bent the White Sox over in the back end of the game :/
