This is a great move, no notes. Think there is a great chance he replaces Folk if he gets his head straight
I went from wanting to ignore our kicker issues to loving it. Folk takes care of this year and hopefully the vet and coaches can fix Yorks mental blocks and start next year with a long term big leg answer at field goal.
Send the dude to therapy twice a week all season to get his mental state square and he could be great.

I like the “signing” but very realistic he gets picked off the roster before passing Folk on the depth chart. Not likely a stash for the future unless Folk struggles imo.
With 3 QBs on the roster it is very possible they use the new rule for an extra roster spot from the practice squad each week on Cade York for kick offs.
Edit: or to use for the potential 55+ yard kick at the end of half or game. Could be very useful.
Browns fan and former Nashville resident here. Wanted to let y’all know this will take time to set Cade right. His issues are way more than the mental blocks everyone is referencing.
His form is insanely inconsistent. No two kicks look the same. When he kicks, the ball doesn’t turn end over end like normal, it knuckles and flutters and moves all over the place. He’s not just missing, he’s not doinking the uprights…instead, he’s missing as badly as you’ll ever see an NFL kicker miss. And regularly at that. He needs to be broken down and rebuilt from the ground up.
