I had a vague recollection of this incident and was beginning to think that maybe I’d imagined it or at least it hadn’t really played out the way I remembered. Today I found the elusive clip on YouTube. Berkman gets rung up on a questionable strike three and gets ejected; before leaving the dugout, he throws his batting gloves and a bag of balls onto the field. I don’t recall ever seeing him this animated and angry any other time.
