  1. Great comeback win.

Canada needs badly size in tournaments going forward but for now it’s a huge success qualifying for the Olympics

  2. Spain flaming out in this tourney before the quarters wasn’t in my FIBA WC bingo card, that’s for sure.

  3. The game was crunchy for the first three, but that 4th quarter was amazing. Canada missed some *really* good looks, but played the best defence I’ve seen from them this tournament. Still struggling as a team to adjust to FIBA. Over-reliant on drive and dish, Spain throwing zone looks at Canada really seemed to frustrate them. They don’t really have a big who can crash a zone like Hernangomez. Did not mind seeing the offensive arm-bar/push-offs getting called.

Really, really impressed by Juan Nunez, hit some huge shots, crazy that he’s only 19. Aldama played great as well. Spanish offence was great overall, but the Canadian closers filled so much space, gave up so little in the 4th.

The listen ins were great (especially the hearing team Canada at the end). Commentators were… fine.

Canada v USA final still on the table.

  4. Canada becomes the first team in 21st century to beat Spain when behind by 10 pts or more in halftime

  5. Latvia pretty much eliminated both Eurobasket finalists Spain and France so logically Latvia is the best basketball country in Europe.

  6. Im still sit here wishing Murray, Wiggins, Brissett, and Brissett played but I still like this Canada squad.
