Have to win the next two and hope the SF helps us out. 2.5 game lead is not a lot and the division momentum can shift quickly. It seems like we only lose when we can’t hit with runners on base. We were winning so many games because we were getting clutch hits and the past two days we can’t get a clutch hit to save our lives.
Pittsburgh is too good offensively to try and cling to a 2-0 lead. Yelich DP changed the game, though Burnes needs to be better.
Don’t even bother looking at the schedule rest of way, it doesn’t matter.
If you play good baseball you sweep teams like Texas. If you don’t, you lose to the A’s.

The lack of situational hitting (.166 with RISP) isn’t great, the GIDP bug bit us tonight too. The recent trend of sloppy play in the field is more concerning to me, clean play isn’t just not making errors but squeezing extra outs. Burnes is still not missing bats enough with the cutter, but as usual he was a pro and gutted out 6. These are games we need to win, sucks to lose the opener here

Heard on the radio broadcast that Burnes hasn’t gotten a W since July 25. I know W/L is a dumb stat, especially with this offense, but jeez. He’s been too damn hittable.
Impressive performance Brewers. Very fucking impressive. Offense has been dogshit 4 out of the last 6 games. Carry that over for the rest of the season and they don’t make the playoffs.
Imagine not getting swept by the athletics..this has the same eerie feeling.
