I just felt the need to externally scream and share
Is the real Arte locked up under the Big A? After reading this article, the current Arte is an imposter.
Arte has always been willing to spend the money, and he wants to win. He’s just *really bad at it*. That’s what’s so frustrating. We luck into getting an owner who isn’t trying to cheap-out. But it turns out that he just doesn’t know (a) that you still have to invest in your farm, and (b) how to hire good leadership and he sticks with them for way too long because he doesn’t see how their own bad decisions are half the problem.
“I can make more money elsewhere” my ass.
There was actually a time where Arte was considered a good owner but in hindsight, he was just riding the coattails of what was established under the Disney ownership (and partly under the tail-end of the Autry ownership). The 2014 season was just lightning in a bottle.
