[Jeff Fletcher] Shohei Ohtani is not playing today. Phil Nevin said he wanted to play, but it was Nevin’s choice not to play him. Also, they are still evaluating Ohtani to determine his status.
Can’t wait to see Shohei play for a winner next year

I think he would want to at least break the angel hr record, or go for 50 if he gets on a roll.
I mean is this good or bad? I feel like all year people have been saying “Ohtani is playing too much, Nevin needs to force him to take rest days more often.”
I think it’s a bummer for people who showed up to the game hoping to see him play tonight, but maybe it’s the right call?
He needs to hang it up for the season and get his surgery.
