Ya never. Great guy and everything, but come on. I’m sure Gino would even say his jersey shouldn’t be in the rafters.
Ring of honour would be appropro though.

You honour players for their abilities. You hounor player that have gone through great personal trials through the community.

Never because he was a good Canuck but he wasn’t a great by any means.
If they are not going to retire Luongo’s number, the team’s all time leader in wins and shut outs, why would you think Gino was good enough to have his number retired? Gino meant a lot to the team when he was here and the fans, but being the all time penalty minutes leader doesn’t get your number retired…except in Ottawa. Even then, Chris Neil played over a 1,000 games for the Senators.
