I’m still rooting hard for the guy. I think he can contribute to this team in some way going forward, he just needs to get more consistent.

  1. I’m rooting for this guy too. I don’t think he’s ever going to hit for average but his power may be enough to justify a roster spot. I’m worried about his glove. That needs to improve too.

  2. Nick is by all accounts a likeable guy

    He’ll be 27 this offseason, and has no track record of hitting for average, hitting for power, or fielding well. He contributed less than Eric Haase this year.

    I wish him good luck, but he’s behind other guys on the depth chart, and that’s likely to get worse.
