When people were flipping out about DJ’s extension being too much, I was like “Relax. It won’t even be a Top 10 QB contract before long.”
I love DJ but I feel like it’s still a bit early to call it a steal – if he stays the same for the next few years then it’d be appropriate imo but if he balls out it’ll certainly be a steal in a few years
How does that make it look reasonable? Better quarterbacks getting not that much more?
The guaranteed money element of it is really good for the Giants compared to some of these. If an Edge Rusher in Bosa can get $36m more guaranteed, then DJ is not overpaid.
I like DJ, but I’d take almost all those QB’s aside from the little person and air thruster rapist.

You can not put Jones on the same stratosphere as Mahomes or Burrow
Other than Kyler Murray, all those QBs put up either numbers and are usually taking their teams to the playoffs. Jalen Hurts is the newest one and he just went to the Super Bowl and had a monster game during it.
What exactly has DJ done? Because I will say that Kyler has put up better numbers than DJ has. I know this will get down voted but it’s the truth. It’s a 2 year prove it deal. DJ doesn’t deserve that much but that’s where the market is for qbs

Every new deal signed this year has been for over $50m/yr…except Danny. With how ridiculous the QB market is getting, comparing it to an even 2 year old contract isn’t fair.
i wouldn’t mind that Mahomes one, either. I bet the Giants wouldn’t mind paying an extra few mil for that.

Wouldn’t call it a steal but at least good value. Everyone above him deserves more money other than kylar and deshaun who both played better than jones ever had prior to getting paid. Kylar is just showing that his good season or 2 may be a fluke and who knows if Watson will bounce back to that Houston form.
When looking at the even, stafford got a ring for the rams. And dak was a flop but we all know jerry jones sucks so that was expected before the contract.
Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes contracts are the real steals in this list. For $3 mill or $5 mill extra you get a top 2 or 3 qb
