  4. 2023 Cardinals: 63-80

    1990 Cardinals: 64-79

    The 1990 Cardinals lost Game 143 to the Expos, 6-2. The normally reliable Bob Tewksbury gave up four runs in just four innings pitched and the punchless Cardinals offense managed six singles. Todd Zeile, who seems to have lost the catcher’s job before this season is even over, played another game at third base.

  5. I was surprised and very pleased to hear Brad Thompson criticize the ghost runner. Didn’t know Thompson had it in him to criticize any authority figure.

    Kind of depressing though to hear Chip Caray not only support it, and characterize an extra-inning game as “sitting around”, but also say that it should be brought into the postseason.

  12. They were saying on Brewers radio that there has never been an 11-inning no-hitter, ever. Seems surprising to me.
