  1. Great choice imo. Morrissey would have been fantastic too but I would have been worried that the extra responsibility could have impacted his elite level play as of late. With that said, both are deserving of the C.

  2. Perfect placeholder until Rutger or Barlow have a couple years of experience in the NHL. He’ll do great

  3. Gosh, this organization can’t do anything right. Lol. Way to kill my excitement for the new season before it even starts.

Obviously, it should have been JoMo.

  4. I guess that’s ok, Morrissey was the better choice though. Is Lowry gonna get more playing time now? We picked a 3rd line center who averages 15:00 per game and who’s never finished higher than 30th in individual trophy voting outside of 12th for calder? Its kinda embarrassing. It’s Andrew Ladd all over again.

  5. To me Lowry was the clear and obvious choice

Has always been a great leader, given a great effort at both ends of the ice, has helped developed countless young forwards.

But what solidified it for me was last spring. When the Jets where really struggling the last 1/4 of the year he elevated his game even more, and dragged the Jets into the fight, even when the entire media and fanbase turned on the team for shitting the bed in February/early March. He played his best when the sky was falling, scored massive goals to win games in March and April, and was also hands down the best forward in the Vegas series
