  1. Yeah let’s continue to hit Guerrero ahead of Schneider for no damn reason. Vladdy has been league average for months and hits into lots of double plays. Just doesn’t make sense.

  2. Good they found a spot for Clement, hopefully Bichette figures it out with his half day off. Guerrero at third has been bad for so long, it might just work as a prank

  3. Big “we’ve tried nothing and we’re all out of ideas” energy radiating from this lineup

  4. You’re going to keep getting opportunities in that 3 spot apparently, Vladdy. Lets try to actually have a game from there today.

  5. People are so focused on Vlad hitting in the 3rd spot that they don’t realize Merrifield, with his .418 OPS over the past 28 days, is hitting in the equally important 5th spot.

No idea why you wouldn’t slot Clement up there instead.

  6. We won’t get Chappy & Belt back at all till the RedSox series or even longer like in late September?

  7. Go get em Kuch!

Vlad needs a few days off. Clearly letting him play through this isn’t working. Let Horwitz play 1st for a couple games and let Vladdy work on some mechanical swing adjustments without the pressure of having to produce.

Let’s see some god damn emotion.

Over/under on this team showing up and getting it together?

  8. Hmm, okay hear me out:

    1. Springer
    2. Merrifield
    3. Schneider
    4. Horwitz
    5. Biggio
    6. Clement
    7. Barger
    8. Kirk
    9. Kiermeier

  9. I’m not usually a fan of completely overhauling a lineup for a lefty, but worth noting that Montgomery has pretty heavy career platoon splits.

    Career RHB: WHIP of 1.27, 1.03 HR/9, 3.95 FIP.
Career LHB: WHIP of 0.98, 0.78 HR/9, 3.03 FIP. Strikeout rate is similar but walk rate is about twice as high for righties.

  10. No Biggio at this moment just seems wrong. I’m guessing he’ll pinch hit for Espinal later, but still

  11. We need to do something in the first 3 innings. We can’t keep relying on 7th inning tack-on runs

  12. At the start of the season, I didn’t know how Davis Scheider was. Now, in mid September, seeing him bat 4 brings me so much hope.

I seriously hope he isn’t a flash in the pan guy. Dude gets walked so often that I can’t help but have hopium for him, but even if he fizzles out or has some struggles in the future, this run is so legendary that I hope he and his moustache are remembered by Jays forever.
