If you were going to tell me at the beginning of the season we were ahead of the Mets and Padres with only 15 games left I would’ve been thrilled
They have done a much better job of beating the teams they should beat, but the schedule down the stretch is not at all conducive of a run. Lots of road games against good teams and we’re still out here starting Selby, Jackson and Hatch.
Coulda been something had they not completely shit the bed in June and July. Ok. Or half the season. Literally had a losing record every month except April.
I’m just so fucking tired of playing the Cubs this year
Sweep the Yankees, then 9-3 is doable. If we hadn’t given up 100 more walks than Milwaukee, we’d be in first place. That extra hundred is 13 losses easy.
I’d be happy handing some fateful losses to the Cubs, helping them to juuuuust miss a spot
