23 days until the Kings’ home opener

Pictured: Dustin Brown, who became the seventh player in Kings history to have his number retired. Brown holds the club record for games played (1,296), and was the first player in franchise history to lift the Stanley Cup.

  1. Brown is currently, and might always be my favorite King and I think you can at least make an argument that he’s the most important player in franchise history between being Captain of our 2 cup runs and “the hit” which really set the stage for our first run. On top of, of course, his entire 1,296 game career being here and being part of the most important core (Brown, Kopi, doughty, Quick) in franchise history.
