  1. Why is he still playing if it’s a six to seven month recovery? Seven months from today is April 18, which would be about three weeks into the 2024 season.

  2. He should be shut down for the season and if he’s not I’m sorry then that’s clown stuff from both Manny and management. 2023 is over, do what you can to make sure 2024 is productive.

  3. He also said he’d be ready for spring training, which doesn’t really line up with this time frame. Hopefully that’s just the high end and he’ll be ready for opening day. Really don’t understand why he’s been playing lately tbh since it’s been clear he’d need surgery for a little while now.

  4. New article from Acee. Shocking developments!

“Sources in Padres clubhouse tell me that Manny needs surgery on his elbow due to “constantly punching his teammates in the face with his elbow”. When asking my source why Manny does this, they told me “he just thinks it’s funny”. Manny has apparently also expressed interest in “letting the Padres fanbase experience this joke firsthand, especially children””
