To your question, I can see this leading to it being less likely that Embiid picks France over USA.
Decision comes down to joining a team with a solidified current and future center with a ceiling of silver medals or becoming the designated C for a gold medal team that doesn’t have anyone fighting for your position.
Damn, that’s a tall lineup. Can’t wait to see them dominate on the court.

Embiid is playing for Team USA (if he wants to play at all). He has more of a connection to America at this point than in France
I don’t think Wemby’s decision will play a factor *at all* with Embiid nor Gobert’s presence. Not in any way. It’s gonna come all down to personal motivations.
France is gonna be a threat at the Olympics but need to address their guard situation. Too slow and defensively porous as it stands now.
