  1. I think it’s safe to say that Savy is in the conversation with Gretzky after his dangle and score in the 2019 playoffs. As elite of a sniper there is

  2. Who can forget the game 1 goal? What a warrior for us during our best era, apart of one the best top 4s in the league. My favorite memory isn’t a CBJ one but I’m glad he got a cup, even with the Lightning. All the hard work and blocked shots paid off, wish we kept him around.

  3. It will never not be him absolutely dogwalking Hedman and sniping top left on Vasilevskiy in game 1

  4. Honestly, watching him win the cup. I knew he didn’t have a chance with us and to see him crush it in the finals, brought a tear to my eye.

  5. Watching him deke around Headman and score in the playoffs. One of the best goals I’ve ever seen

  6. That’s David “Elite Sniper” Savard to you, sir.

Trading him did hurt a bit since he’s good shutdown defenseman, but what we did get out of him resulted with getting Dumais and part of another deal that resulted us getting Boqvist, Sillinger, Bean, and Jiricek.

Also, this was the first off-ice thing with him involved that popped in my head: https://youtu.be/62MhCh5zR8g?si=7ws031hIc1rOtG5E

  7. Tampa Bay probably sees this guy in their nightmares since it was the only time he’d become “elite sniper” David Savard. Absolute fucking legend.
