New pedestrian bridge to connect Newark Penn Station to Prudential Center

It’s hard to not temper my expectations for the Devils future when the city of Newark is literally changing their infrastructure to accommodate them 😂
I didn’t go to many games last year, they closed the old walkway, right?
As a fan of the team and a RU-Newark alum, this is cool!
Wait so am I crazy or did this already exist? I swear I walked through a bridge in Newark Penn that dropped me right across the street from Championship Plaza.
Why does this feel like gentrification and yet another way to separate people who come from out of town with the people of Newark?
I get the intent but this also stinks of classism.
This is great news for Newark & for the Devils. It will really increase accessibility for people that want to attend events at the Prudential Center.
Look forward to walking on it.
Doesn’t the existing walkway through the Gateway Center already serve as a good pedestrian walkway between Penn Station and The Rock?
