> At this juncture, Toronto and Chicago have been the two possible destinations for Lillard most discussed by league figures. While a collection of NBA personnel expect Portland to engage Miami before finalizing something with another suitor, the Heat have not factored primarily in the Blazers’ recent dialogue surrounding Lillard, league sources said. Additionally, the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz have materialized as periphery teams that could factor into larger deals that help facilitate Lillard’s departure from the Blazers.

  1. First round picks please, Kelly, THT, and Dunn for first round picks, and I’m happy. We already have enough guards, and Kelly would be taking minutes from Taylor anyways

  2. None of what he reported in this article is original material. This is the journalism equivalent of reposting.

Jake Fischer is a rumormonger with minimal credibility. Yahoo Sports must be really desperate to give him the role senior writer. He is not on the same level of Charania or Woj, or even someone like Amick.

    His content consists of:

    1. Regurgitated news broken by other journalists <— This example

    2. Reporting of unsubstantiated rumors and speculations with minimal background checking.

Essentially RDAmbition with a yahoo sports account. By reporting rumors with a much lower threshold for credibility, he catches some stories that the Woj and Shams of the world declined to report. The tradeoff is that there’s a lot more worthless noise in his work.

I remember when he first appeared on the scene a few years ago. He published a lot of junk with a few things that more careful journalists didn’t report. He added reposting a bit later.

  3. I love that this article is mostly several paragraphs of analyzing the various pieces Toronto could throw around to make it work, but questioning whether it really makes sense for them to do at the price it would ultimately cost.

And then it gets to the Bulls and it basically just goes “Well, they’ve been trying to trade LaVine for a while, so I guess they’re still doing that? But it doesn’t really seem like anyone wants him at the price they’re asking for, so…”

  4. I pray Toronto doesn’t trade for dame. It’s gonna end the same way a lot of those 14-19 Portland teams went out

  5. It’s just funny that Toronto is just now getting into this. They’ve always been a way more interesting trade partner than Miami.

  6. I wouldn’t mind Damian Lamonte Ollie Lillard Sr. as an official member of the Utah Jazz 🙂

    He might mind though :’-(
