Fair. The quote was definitely taken out of context. I hate the cubs as much as the next guy but I truly don’t think he meant anything malicious by it. Getting spanked by a lesser division rival in the midst of a playoff race will do that to you. His comments were also true – we’re not a good team. We are very average. Classy of him to even acknowledge it imo
