  1. Just as a baseball fan, It’d be such a let down for the Mariners to miss the playoffs but that’s way it’s looking. Texas just owns Seattle. 7-1 this year against them

  2. It's crazy the Mariners have won so many games with their poor plate discipline. They swing and miss at so many pitches that aren't strikes, it's driving me insane!

  3. Thanks to the two worst teams in MLB (KC and Oakland), the Astros didn't run away with things like people expected. All Seattle has to do is handle business against the Astros, and they will make the playoffs.

  4. As a Yankees fan, I’m so mad that we traded him for a guy who hasn’t pitched all year. I never wanted Monty gone, he was a damn good pitcher and he’s showing what he’s made of. Proud to see him succeeding, I’m just so mad the Yankees organization thought trading him was beneficial.

  5. People don’t know the pain of being a Mariners fan. These guys can’t hit with runners in scoring position to save their lives sometimes. Rangers have the Mariners number this season. SMH.

  6. The Ms are still only .5 game behind the astros for the 3rd wc, if somehow they can avoid the sweep tomorrow, then they might still have a shot, but i highly doubt it with the way they are playing…

Its not like the season is over right now, but the Offense definitely need to step up

  7. Perhaps someone can enlighten me as to why Paul Sewald was sold to the Diamond Backs. There must be a good reason to sell your best right handed Relief Pitcher before the season ends. I'm sure he didn't want to go away from the team.
There is another point you be made: there were 3 games before the start of this series in which he was not with the team. I can make the argument that if he were available in those games that theam would have been 3 more wins for the team. In each game the reliever in the game could not keep the other team from scoring. I bet he could have.
Selling him was a big mistake.
    Time will tell.

  8. Well at this point, even if they squeak into the playoffs, That offense isn't going to wake up or be consistent enough to do anything. I mean with this pitching, you have a good month on offense you win a lot of games, but this offense cannot reproduce last month. They have maybe one good consistent hitter in the offense, and that is J.P.
