Wasn’t it supposed to get better when they fired Gene Smith and Dave Caldwell?

The buck starts and stops with Shad. He is criminally oblivious as to how to run a football team and that fact slowly poisons whatever good has the misfortune of walking through our doors. Everyone with any football acumen knew retaining Baalke was a mistake but he arrogantly or negligently dismissed those claims and took the path of least resistance. Truly, I find it improbable the team will have any sustained success with him at the helm, only the flash in the pan impromptu hot streaks like last season before the insipid front office squanders it.
You think you’re mad now, just wait until the front office plays hardball with Trevor this offseason.

I hate to say it but it looks like the first draft he did was actually all urban.
Lol not sure why we mad at Trent. He built a good offense on paper and he’s only lacking defense line.
The saddest part about this is that Urban Meyer might have put together the best draft we’ve had in over a decade

At least last year’s free agent class was good. But then he followed up by doing absolutely nothing this year

We had no pass rush on Sunday against 4 back up offensive linemen… having a #1 pick and #7 pick on our D line and nothing… this is concerning. Watching Aiden Hutchinson week 1, he looked great, we haven’t seen that type of impact yet from Travon which is disappointing. Still early but Travon appears to be a project player, hopefully he can turn it around.
I just want to make perfectly clear that, schedule wise, this was by FAR the most realistic season we’d ever win the super bowl. Our division is the weakest it will ever be, by a lot considering Stroud and Richardson look promising. And every other team with great young qbs will do nothing but get better.
There was no better season to go all in. And we drafted a backup tight end in the 2nd round. A position that historically takes multiple years to transition and that we already had filled.
The defense SUCKS. It sucked last years and it still does and it’s so overrated in this sub because yall are so results oriented. Remember when the fucking lions scored on every single offensive possession? The cowboys scored 27 in 2.5 quarters and went into run the clock out mode until the offense stormed back. And then as soon as we took the lead they walked right down the field and took it back. The pick 6 was lucky af and if they could catch they had 1st down at the 50. Lamar Jackson with negative weapons scored up and down on us at will. And then we played Zach Wilson in the rain, the texans and titans. 3 of the shittiest offenses in the game and one of them was against Josh Dobbs on 3 days notice.
Defense sucks and it always has. There are a few good players like Cisco that occasionally make really good singular efforts to give us a few good drives but as a unit they aren’t consistent at all. Not to mention we had insane injury luck last season and have literally 0 depth.
Harbaugh was clearly the smart one in SF. Baalke should have been fired after drafting Walker
I was told repeatedly this offseason we needed to extend him after we drafted fucking backups with 2 of our 1st three picks.
Hoping Waugh will rectify this over the course of this year for drafts going forward
I get what you’re saying, but at the same time this game falls on coaching. Every facet of yesterday was owned by the Texans, and that has to do with preparation. This kinda stinks of the same thing that happened to Doug in Philly. The offense, defense, and special teams looked lost and stagnant.
Are we back to hating Baalke again? Lmao. After the legion of Baalke shoe shiners last season it’s funny to see people wake up again.
Can’t decide who I hate more though…Lamping or Baalke. Pretty sure it’s Lamping by a mile. Though when I really consider how inept AND aloof Khan is, he’s up there as well.
