  1. Bet he starts CP3 a couple games during the preseason to give it a try but he and the others will probably convince him that the best thing to do to win is come off the bench. Hopefully he buys into the role or its going to be another long season.

  2. I mean if anyone actually listened to Kerr, Steph, and CP back during summer league when all of NBA media wouldn’t shut up about whether or not he’d start, they **all** said that’s something they won’t be figuring out or even addressing until training camp. Training camp hasn’t started yet, ergo there’s been no movement on the will he or will he not start. Any clickbait from NBA media on the topic to the contrary is just that, clickbait.

  3. it will work

if u considered the super small lineup with poole worked, this is only going to be even better.

cp3 is 5 inches shorter but poole was a traffic cone on defense the team was playing 4v5 on that end every time hes on the court, whereas this is cp3’s defense in the playoffs this year.

  4. Steve, you are one of my last beacons of hope for sports this year…..my Raiders suck AGAIN, my baseball team is not in the playoffs, Hockey hasn’t started yet. So please have a good year! 🙂

  5. The Warriors became what they are by meritocracy. Monte was the Star but Steph seemed like a future to build around. Iggy, a proven star came off the bench for Klay and Barnes who was a young player and David Lee, another All Star, came off the bench after the Draymond thing popped. The idea that there are cornerstones not to be touched is dangerous.

  6. Why does it matter who gets the first minutes of the game? Just because CP3 starts doesn’t mean he will play a lot of minutes. It’s all about the rotations and not who starts.

  7. One thing I worry about CP3 off the bench, is that means we are minimizing his rest time between stretches of the play throughout a game.

The benefit of starting allows minutes to be spread out throughout the game with more rest time.

  8. Steph’s the one superstar that realistically would agree to come off the bench regularly for the betterment of the team. He’s this generation’s Tim Duncan.

  9. Fuckit start cp3 and hit em with the super small lineup then sit him after a certain amount of minutes to run the bench. Simple.

  10. Having CP start, then having a fresh Curry coming off the bench is going to terrify the league, not sure why anyone would think otherwise.
